The Women for Women team travelled to the hills of the Himalaya. During their short stay of two days, about 32 patients were registered. The team offered consultation and operated upon 16. The hospital was run by a dedicated Couple; Mr. and Mrs. Banzel. They had made their living in San Francisco. They returned to India to do social work in their home region. They financed Janani hospital with Mr. Banzel’s pension. The hospital is dedicated to all the mothers in the region of Himalchal Pradesh. Janani means in Hindi mohter.
